PlayCloud is a file and directory manager for your BlackBerry® 10 mobile. You can manage photos, documents, downloads and others.

Flows... and gestures :

PlayCloud uses the BlackBerry® 10 gestures.

Use pinch gesture to zoom in/out on the icons.
From the bottom left, you can access to your contacts list or your ransfers. As most of applications, swipe down from top of screen to access to menu.

From the PlayCloud menu, you can switch between your cloud spaces (see how to set new clouds). The icons permit to change the display mode (categories, icons list) or the files order (by date, name, size...). You can also enable the multi select mode. At last, you can edit your settings about PlayCloud or your cloud accounts.

To access to file operations, press the icon file enough long time. From the menu, you can open, rename, copy/move or delete the files.
You can also access to file properties, comments and share it.
At last, you can process on multiple files in the same time in enabling the multi select mode.

Account settings :

The settings menu permits to configure several cloud services. You can set local and system viewes ; Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, Webdav and more...

From the settings menu, you can change the default display behavior. For each cloud service, you can have a specific behavior.

For some cloud services, a registration step can be need to be able to enable the view. PlayCloud will redirect you on the BlackBerry® browser so as to you allow the application. These steps avoid to enter your credentials on PlayCloud itself. PlayCloud doesn't know your credentials !

Somes services as FTP, Webdav... require that you set your username and password.

Don't forget to enable the view to use it

Thumbnail settings

You can choose to download or not the image thumbnails. PlayCloud supports thumbnails for image and audio files.

Warning, load thumbnails can increase your data consumption.

Network settings

You can also define the network settings for each account : enable the auto mode ; or choose if the account can be used with a cellular connection or only in WiFi.

You can also allow PlayCloud to use your cloud storage if you are on roaming.

WebDAV, FTP (SSL), SFTP...

You can use many well-known applications as WebDAV, FTP, SFTP... For each application, you have to set the full host address :

WebDAV :

Cache settings

To be more responsive and avoid data consumptions, PlayCloud saves some data in network cache data. Define the maximum cache size.

Printer settings

PlayCloud permits to you to print your PDS or PS documents. Your network printer (or your network print server) has to support postscript jobs and the IPP protocol (Internet Printing Protocol).

PlayCloud implements IPP releases : 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 ; also SSL connection and authentification process.

To add a printer, you have to set its network address and if needed your credentials. Then, you can load the printer settings ; or edit manually them.

At last, in clicking on icon, you can set a printer icon from your pictures gallery (the icon size is 240x240 - the image will be automatically scaled).

PlayCloud provides the standard print features. The print jobs are placed in the transfers monitoring.

Transfers monitoring

From the transfers panel, you can check and monitor all your transfers. The transfers are ordered from the newer to older. PlayCloud tries to determine the remaining time.

The action item menu permits to you pause, resume or abort a transfer.

Warning, when you resume a transfer, PlayCloud tries to continue the previous transfer ; if fails, the transfer restarts from the beginning.

All completed or aborted transfers can be removed from the list.

If a transfer fails, you can try to resume.
